This is another view of Melbourne taken from Princess Bridge looking back towards the top end of Melbourne.
The tram in the foreground is one of the modern everday trams that are used all over Melbourne. Which are no where near as attractive as the one I painted a couple of weeks back. The first brown building to the right of the tallest in the photo with the spire on top is of significance to me.
I worked in that building for a number of years before I was had a family. It was then the head office of the ANZ Banking Group and I was working in the Personnel Department. It was a great place to work and the views from that building were terrific. Facing from that building towards where I took this photo is actually looking across Port Phillip Bay. The views across the city and the bays were fantastic.
Another noteworthy mention is that the two towers (that one and the one next to it) are called the Collins Place Towers and when they were built they were modelled off the Twin Towers in the USA of the fated 9/11 fame.
