Beach Boxes

No EXIF data is available

On Sunday we travelled on the new Freeway that opened in Melbourne.  The largest road opening in Australia.  We headed down to Mt Martha where we used to spend Christmas with our kids and my husbands family. It was a cold windy winter's day but I managed to get a couple of good photos.

This painting is of a group of the beach boxes that are dotted along the foreshore. Beach boxes are quite an icon in Melbourne and many photographers take photos of them and prints are readily available.  I wanted to create my own version of this popular theme.  I'm really excited with the end result.

In my humble opinion, your best so far, Dianne!   These huts are nearly always shown in full sunlight, this is much more unusual and striking.   Well done.

Couldn't agree more, do the exact opposite to the norm, and do it your own way, sheep get eaten, lions don't. Stand back and be proud, a wonderful artwork. I have seen so many beach hut paintings, photos, and graphics, and they all looked similar, you have gone one giant leap forward and made a statement, and it is honest and true, can't say much more for I am speechless , a toast to you - in champagne.
