    I did this one because I wanted to try and get reasonably realistic water,and yet keep it loose, so I decided to use gouache so the swirls and sweeps of the brush would add movement.

    Fantastic image, Your work looks like you are painting manually now, not using autopainting. Ive really got to stop messing and start trying to acheive with this program. Well done.

    Awesome I love it!!! Where did you get the photo from?  I would love to do a surfing one.

    I googled this one - this pic was one of the surfing champions from Oz - Laurie Towner from Angourie. If you go to advanced image search and look for large images you will find plenty if you just look for surfers,surf, surf-boarding, waves, anything you can think of. Good Luck in your search and I look forward to seeing the results.

    Thanks Ric - but messing as you call it is an essential part of the learning curve, and is never a waste of time, it is by experimentation that you will find a method or combination that will transform some of your pics.
