    Great image! Here is an example of centering the subject in a way that works. I assume that it is painted from a photograph, but frankly, it is so "painterly" that I can't say for sure.

    this is really nice, it has the flow of a waterclolour. We have a flower like this called Aqualegia but I prefer the common name of granny's bonnet. I do like the feint outline to accentuate some of the edges.
