What about our own gallery of paintings?

I was wondering whether anyone else thought this might be a good idea???

There are a few galleries of paintings from the people (I'm assuming) that set up this websete.

I think it would be great if we could have our own gallery as individuals where we could see collectively each persons work.

The Corel Painter Magazine works that way and I think it is terrific.  It also gives you an idea of the style of a persons work too.

What do you people out there think of this idea?Idea

Dianne, unfortunately, with the tool we are using to support the Essentials Cafe, we do not have a mechanism that would allow people to set-up their own galleries, but if any of you are interested in having your own gallery to fill with your paintings, please send me a direct message via the cafe and we can talk about setting one up for you.

     Thanks

    Hi Jennifer,

I've just been catching up this morning on latest posts on this site and noticed that Buddy has a gallery.  I don't know whether or not he contacted you but I would like to do the same thing if possible. Could you please fill me in on the process.

    Thanks

I too think that it would be nice to have our own galleries here, but in lieu of that I recently joined up at artscuttlebutt.com , where I am allowed to keep a gallery of my work, with no limits of how many paintings or how large the files. It's run by the group at ArtCalendar magazine, and it's free! There is a lot of good feedback coming and going there about the business of art, too! You guys might want to check it out!Wink

You could do a lot worse than sending an e-mail to Jennifer Fraser at Corel, just search for her on the forum and use the link in the contact section, like all the staff at Corel nothing is too much trouble, and if the coffee machine is working they even respond fast, despite a hectic schedule.

To finish a work? To finish a picture? What nonsense! To finish it means to be through with it, to kill it, to rid it of its soul, to give it its final blow the coup de grace for the painter as well as for the picture.

Once you have some artwork to put in a gallery, you could do worse than look for Jennifer Fraser on the forum, and if you open one of her postings, there is an option to send either a message or an e-mail, and if you ask for a gallery the staff at corel are there for you, and will probably oblige.
