    Peony

     Hello!

I'm Dan, from Romania. You must be very kind with my 'strong english language' but hope you will understand what I will have to say Big Smile

Here's a peony painted in Essentials 3 with Acrylics, Pencils and PS colours manipulation.

    Regards, Dan

Beautifully subtle tones and texture Dan. I like this piece.

    I like this as well.

You have created a very striking difference between the foreground and the background, and all with great tones.

The peony POPS! right out of the middle!

Unusual colour combination, and it works fantastically well.   This looks very skilful and beautiful to me.   Did you start with a photo?

Welcome Dan, an unusual and very effective artwork, excellent.

This is great Dan, I like the color mix and it reminds me of watercolor, one of my favorites.  How did you get the border?  I thought it looks like handmade paper type.  I like it a lot too.  I look forward to more.

To finish a work? To finish a picture? What nonsense! To finish it means to be through with it, to kill it, to rid it of its soul, to give it its final blow the coup de grace for the painter as well as for the picture.

     Terri, Thank you!

I did the border in PS. Below the painting layer make a white layer then on a mask, paint with a brush for border.
