during my time at the Robin Hood festival I was looking for little details out of the ordinary, and I spotted this apothecary stall which was quite colourful, and just had to be painted - for this one I used detailed watercolour - soft grainy round brush.

Thanks Wardy - I was pleased with the way the colours and reflections came out too, but I have to give the bulk of the credit to the programme here, I just took the photo.

Thanks Anne - just the usual dragon's blood - it is a fine vintage this year.

Tolouse, this is a very nice composition with the old bottles making for an interesting subject.  Nice work.

Thanks Ron - when I was a child the local apothecaries used to have the most beautiful ornate bottles in the windows full of colourful liquids, but sadly now we have drug stores in proliferaton the old ways have gone, as have the colours, it was interesting to see these early bottles for a change.
