    art deco in railway engineering?

whilst at the midland railway centre yesterday, I spotted this old rolling stock chassis awaiting renovation, it was corroded and stained but had a beauty reminiscent of an art deco design, so I did a detailed watercolour using the fine camel brush, then effects esoterica / van gogh brush, and then opened the image up in paint shop pro, and used the softness filter at default setting to give the image an ethereal glow, in effect adding a glamour effect to a piece of engineering.

Looked at upside down and through half-closed eyes, it does look like an old art deco cinema! I like the glow you have achieved here.

Thanks Anne, it is the little details I see which appeal to me, and there is as much beauty to be found in a scrap yard as there is in a rose garden

Tolouse, after visiting the art deco town Napier in NZ earlier this year I can really see the art deco in this one.  Well done I like your effects.
