    New to this

     HelloParadise

I live in Tucson and work full time.  I am just learning to use PainterX and it is a challenge.  I have been trying to learn to draw with the program.  I love it and will  use it every week.  It saves my sanity after a long week of work.  I have done oil painting and sculpture, pencil and ink drawing etc.

I live alone and my computer saves me!!!  Any way!!!

Enjoy my first attempts at PainterX

    Sheila

    P.S

How do I load my photos?

    Re: New to this

Hi Sheila and welcome! Do you mean Painter 4? To upload pictures you go into Show your Creations, Write New Messsage. There you can put a title for your picture and any message you want to add. Then press Add/Update. which will allow you to browse and pick a photo from your computer. Once you've uploaded, press Post. Most of us have trouble to begin with posting files of the right size, they can't be more than around 124 kB - if you look in the Help section there;s a bit about it there. So you'll probably need to keep changing canvas size, resolution, JPG quality, till you get your pictures to the right size. I hope this is some help.

Welcome to our forum Sheila, it will be nice to see some art of the sonora desert one day.

    Re: New to this

Hello sheila and welcome to the forum. I have painter X as well as Painter Essentials 4 so I am a member of the Painter Factory Forum for work done in Painter X and this forum for work done in Painter Essentials 4.

I understand what you mean about it saving sanity as I try to use it whenever I feel a bit stressed or troubled.

To upload pictures go to       'show your creations'    and click to write a new post.

You will see some tabs at the top of the page that opens

The 'compose'   tab lets you write about what you want to say

    Click the    'options'   tab.

This allows you to browse to where you picture is on your computer (your picture needs to be less that 256 k) click save and once it is safely uploaded click on the post button at the bottom

    Hope this helps
