Essentials Cafe

Well after changing to painter, and now finding myself unable to use photos as i did before, I borrowed a friends fuji camera whch has a 28-400mm inbuilt lens ( a bridge camera). As a result i have decided to put my camera and lenses up for sale and get one of these all in one jobs instead. Am i mad ? prehaps, but ive learned that i dont need all the equipment anymore or more importantly, Walking up a mountain is much easier with an all in one. I think Tolouse actually made sense to me a while back with a discussion over equipment. Anyway, I hope i cans ell it fast to get one of these cameras. I think it will make me go out more than if carrying a rucksack everywhere. The moral of this story is - You can have all the equipment in the world, but if you dont use it, What is the point ?

Good luck with the sale ric. My friend's dad has recently sold all his camera, lenses etc and darkroom equipment after discovering 'The Digital Way'

He is retired and not in the best of health but can now gain access to places that were previously very difficult when laden with all that equipment.

I am also fed up with buying lenses all the time, and not using them for months on end due to weather and not being able to use them all at the same time. This way i can be out with the family in places such as monkey world, without a backpack being lugged everywhere andhaving to stop to change lenses all the time. Thanks for the good luck, the first lens is spoken for and going on saturday. The replacement camera is the first thing i buy with money raised ( the new expensive fishing rods have to wait).

Anyway Ric, once you start selling those postcards and prints, you can go into a secondhand shop any time and buy some vintage camera equipment!

never mind the vintage stuff, i have to get out with the disposable camera ive bought hehehehe

So do I squirrel hehehe. Ive only sold one lens so far, a little dissapointing, and ive just found out how messy ebay can be :-( I'd better start phoning newspaper classified numbers tomorrow !
